

Kevin Halligan
Kevin has been helping businesses of all sizes with tax and accounting advice since he began his career at KPMG more than 23 years ago. Since then, Kevin has built his skills in virtually every industry. As a partner in Savannah’s Halligan Group and Comprehensive Business Partners, Kevin specializes in working with closely held enterprises. He prides himself on being more than a tax accountant, acting as a trusted business partner to his clients. Kevin takes time to learn about his clients’ enterprises and their business and financial goals and works closely with them to build a successful organization.
After graduating from Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Kevin received his BA in accounting from Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina. He then attended graduate school at University of Georgia, attaining a Master of Accounting with a specialty in Tax.
Kevin is a committed alumnus of Benedictine. He has coached basketball and golf and served on both the executive and finance committees. He’s also actively involved in Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and currently serves as chairman of the committee to commemorate Savannah’s 200th St. Patrick’s Day parade. In addition to several other charitable boards and committees, Kevin is an active member of the Savannah Golf Club. When he’s not advising his clients or supporting his community, Kevin enjoys golf, travel and youth sporting events.
John m. “Toby” Browne, JR.
Toby has spent more than 15 years helping companies and individuals with their financial and banking needs. He has worked with all types and sizes of companies, from start-ups to enterprises with over $100 million in annual revenue. Toby has helped his clients with a wide variety of lending types including managed lines of credit, commercial mortgages and SBA loans. His lending background includes underwriting, pricing, structuring, approving and managing loans. Experience in special asset negotiations, collections and bankruptcy filings means Toby is uniquely qualified to help companies navigate financial difficulties.
Toby holds a BA in Finance from Georgia Southern University. He has completed a three-year comprehensive course on banking finance and management at University of Georgia’s Georgia Banking School.
Family and community involvement are both important parts of Toby’s life. He and his wife, Catherine, have two daughters and a son. Toby’s community involvement includes active support of the Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless, the Exchange Club of Savannah and the Savannah Downtown Business Association along with memberships in many other organizations.
Lauren Martin
Lauren has more than nine years experience working with local accounting firms in Lexington, Kentucky and Savannah, Georgia. Her primary focus has been on individual and corporate income tax. She also focuses on compiled financial statements. Lauren joined the Halligan Group in August 2019, where she works cooperatively with Comprehensive Business Partners.
Lauren holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, and MBA with concentration in Accounting from Charleston Southern University.
When she’s not helping her clients, Lauren enjoys family activities with her husband and two children. She loves traveling, being outdoors, reading and spending time with friends.
Julie Kryder
Julie comes to CBP with 25 years’ experience in office administration. Julie is the point of contact at the office and oversees daily office operations. Along with her administrative responsibilities, she reconciles accounts and makes payroll and sales tax payments for some of our accounting clients. Julie also processes annual income tax returns.
Julie graduated from Saint Mary’s College. She holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration.
Boating and being at the beach are among Julie’s favorite pastimes. She also enjoys reading and watching sports. Julie is married with one teenage son

Hattie Browne
Hattie takes her position at Comprehensive Business Partners very seriously. She’s always at the ready to meet and greet clients.
When she is not in the office lending her emotional support, Hattie loves spending time with her people running in the grass or swimming alongside of them.
